GM Alternators
Alternators provide most of your car's electricity while it's running, all while maintaining the amount of electricity that it distributes. Essentially, this is the charger of your car that balances the voltage and temperature as the car runs through different components.
It's best to check up on its cleanliness, cooling fan, and diodes every 6 months to make sure it's working well. If you're having trouble keeping your car running after a few minutes of running, then your alternators are likely to be the culprit. Moreover, if you find that your battery is dead and leaking, or if you have overly bright or dim headlights, the same scenario is likely. Otherwise, you may need to change your alternators every 150,000 miles or around 15 years or so.
Adding aftermarket electronics may affect the quality of your vehicle due to excessive use of electricity. Make sure you know how to properly jump start your car to keep it healthy.
